This week IRON MAN 2 continues to reign, albeit with a 70% drop. NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET won't find much legs with such a weak opening, given that horror fans tend to come out on the first weekend. The nice surprise in the pack is Chris Morris' FOUR LIONS, which took a £5,146 screen average, not bad for a homegrown comedy from a TV writer/director.

IM2 was one of the most instantly forgettable films I've ever seen - Junk Food Cinema! All concerned just going through the motions for the money. Fairly decent 2-D digital presentation, for once, at the Cineworld - best since Star Trek (I know YOU do it week in, week out!)
ReplyDeleteSpot on with the observation about Horror fans. Like the Sci-Fi crowd, they're there on opening night (unless there's a Midnight Showing the day before!)
